Yes. Give My Books Network collects DVDs, CDs, Blu-rays, VHS tapes, vinyl records, and audiobooks on disc from Charlotte homes at no cost, either mixed in with a book donation or as a media pickup on its own.

Collection is handled by a Local Pick-Up Partner, a locally owned family business rather than a courier. Discs and books can share a box, so nothing has to be separated before your service day.

What Media Is Accepted?

Most physical media formats are welcome, provided the discs and sleeves are intact.

Vinyl, and Why It Gets Packed Differently

Vinyl records travel upright, never flat and never stacked. Records warp under their own weight in a summer vehicle, and a leaning stack of LPs at the bottom of a box arrives in worse shape than it left.

Stand them on edge in a sturdy box, snug enough that they cannot slide but loose enough to lift out. A milk crate works beautifully. Charlotte record shelves in NoDa and South End tend to hold more weight than their owners realize, so split a big collection across two containers.

How Media Pickup Works in Charlotte
