Give My Books Network is exactly what it sounds like:
A nationwide network of local family businesses we call Pick-Up Partners.
It's a network of giving: You give your books. Partners pick them up, resell what they can, and give to schools, nonprofits, Little Free Libraries, and more through our Give ME Books program. You start the cycle.
Here's How It Works
When you schedule a pickup, a Partner comes to your door, collects your books and media, and takes them. No charge. No hassle.
What Happens to Your Books?
Partners resell them. At bookstores. At flea markets. At low-cost community book sales. Online. This income supports their families, pays their employees, and covers the costs of providing you this free service.
But That's Not All
Partners can also donate books through our Give ME Books program to schools, libraries, and community organizations that request them. We don't force it, but we encourage it, and Partners who donate earn "Top Giver" badges and premium placement in The Network.

Libraries Are Essential
We don't compete with libraries — we complement them. If you want to support your local library directly, please do it. We encourage it.
But Here's the Reality
Libraries have restrictions. They often can't accept textbooks, encyclopedias, old editions, or large quantities. They get full. They have to say no.
We don't have those restrictions.
Hard or soft, old or new, no matter the topic — if it's a book, we'll take it.

What We Accept: Books of all kinds, CDs, DVDs, and other media. Hard or soft, old or new, no matter the topic — if it's a book, we'll take it! We also accept audiobooks, vinyl records, board games, puzzles, video games, and more. Check your Partner's card to see exactly what they accept. Please recycle anything moldy, mildewed, or too damaged to enjoy.
Gather Your Books & Media
Pack your books, CDs, DVDs, and media in boxes or bags. We welcome gently used to well-loved items. Please recycle anything moldy or damaged beyond use.
Schedule a Pickup
Fill out the to schedule your day. We'll confirm your pickup and you're all set!
Leave Your Items Out
Put your books and media out by 8AM on the scheduled day and we will be there between 8am and 8pm. No need to wait around!
Books Find New Homes
Local Pick-Up Partners collect your items, resell them at bookstores, flea markets, community book sales, and online to support their families and cover service costs. They can also donate through our Give ME Books program!
Pickup Day Guidelines
A few simple things to ensure a smooth pickup experience
Fill Containers Completely
Please fill each box or bag completely rather than giving us multiple partially full containers - this helps us conserve space in our vehicle.
50lb Max Per Container
Ensure all boxes or bags are light enough for one person to carry alone. 50lb MAX. We are strong, but we need our backs! 😊
Use Boxes or Bags
All items should be in a box, bag, or container that we can pick up and take with us. Please do not leave loose books - we will not take them if not in a container. We do not bring replacement boxes.
Leave Items Out by 8 AM
Please have your boxes or bags outside and accessible by 8 AM on your scheduled pick-up day. This ensures our Partners can complete their route efficiently.
Flexible Pick-up Window
Our pick-up window is 8 AM to 8 PM. We cannot guarantee a specific time but will be there sometime that day.
No Tax Deduction Slips
Give My Books Network and its Pick-Up Partners are family businesses, not 501(c)(3) nonprofits. We cannot provide tax deduction forms. If you need one, please take your books to a registered nonprofit.
Protect from Weather
We come rain or shine - please check the weather and cover books or move them to a safe, dry accessible location. We will not pick up rain-soaked books.

We require you to review your Pick-Up Partner after your pickup. This 3-click questionnaire keeps Partners accountable and helps the next person know who to trust. When you use our service, you agree to leave a review.
