Affiliate Program Terms
Version 1 · Effective for all affiliate accounts.
1. Who can join
The affiliate program is open to individuals and businesses who refer new Pick-Up Partners to Give My Books Network ("the Network"). You may not refer yourself, and you may not earn commission on your own Pick-Up Partner account.
2. Commission
You earn 20% recurring commission on the net revenue the Network receives from every subscription payment made by a Pick-Up Partner you referred, for as long as that partner remains subscribed.
Net revenue means the amount paid by the partner minus payment processing costs. Commission is never earned on taxes, refunds, or amounts the Network does not actually receive.
Referrals are tracked from the moment someone signs up through your link, including partners who start on the free plan. No commission accrues until that partner is on a paid plan and an invoice is actually paid.
3. Attribution
Attribution is last click within a 90-day window and locks at the moment the referred partner creates their account. Once a partner is attributed to you, later clicks on someone else's link do not move that partner.
If a referred partner quits the Network, the referral ends permanently. If they later return, they are treated as a new signup and are not automatically re-attributed to you.
The Network may manually attribute, reassign, or remove a referral to correct tracking errors, migrate historical records, or address abuse. Every manual change is logged.
4. Refund hold and reversals
Every commission is held for 30 days after it is earned. If the underlying payment is refunded or disputed during that hold, the commission is reversed. Commissions that have already been paid out are not clawed back.
5. Payouts, thresholds and fees
Cleared commissions are paid out automatically once your balance reaches $50.00. You may also request an early payout at any time once your cleared balance is above $10.00, limited to one early payout every seven days.
Payouts are sent through Stripe Connect. The following costs of moving your money are passed through to you at cost and deducted from each payout:
- Pass-through processing fee — $2.50 per payout. This covers the payout account fee, the payout transfer fee, and funds routing charged by our payment processor. A full breakdown is visible in your dashboard on every payout.
- Annual 1099 e-file fee — $2.99 per calendar year. Collected from your first payout of each calendar year, because a tax form may be required for that year as soon as you are paid.
Because the processing fee is a flat amount, larger payouts keep more of your commission. This is why the automatic threshold is set at $50.00.
6. Identity and tax verification
Before any money can be sent, you must complete identity, tax and bank account verification through Stripe. This is a legal requirement for paying out earnings and applies to every affiliate program, not just ours. You can share your referral link and accrue commission before verification is finished, but payouts cannot be released until it is complete.
A 1099 tax form may be issued to you if your earnings meet the applicable reporting threshold for the year.
7. Referral codes and links
You may customize your referral code, subject to availability, up to three times every 30 days. Retired codes continue to redirect to your account, so links you have already shared keep working. Codes that impersonate the Network, another affiliate, or a third-party brand are not permitted.
8. Promotion rules
You may not bid on Network brand terms in paid search, send unsolicited bulk email or SMS, use cookie stuffing or forced clicks, make earnings or income claims on the Network's behalf, or misrepresent your relationship with the Network. Self-referrals and referrals created through fake or duplicate accounts are grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid commission.
9. Changes and termination
The Network may update commission rates, thresholds, or fees with notice to active affiliates. Either party may end participation at any time. On termination for cause, unpaid commission may be withheld. Otherwise, cleared commissions remain payable.
10. Data and client ownership
Affiliates receive aggregate referral and earnings data only. Affiliates do not receive client or donor contact information and may not market to Network clients. All client data remains the property of the Network.
